Bramble (cocktail) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Bramble (cocktail)
The Bramble is a cocktail created by Dick Bradsell in 1980s London, England. Best described as a spring cocktail, the Bramble brings together dry gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup and crème de mûre. Bradsell also suggests finishing off the cocktail with some fresh red fruits (such as blackberries, cranberries) and a slice of lemon. The Bramble is served with crushed ice, over which the cocktail is poured. The visual 'trickle down' effect, similar to a bramble bush is often credited as the origin of the cocktail's name. It closely resembles the popular Gin Fix. ==History== The Bramble was created in London, England in the mid-80s,〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Dick Bradsell - How To Drink )〕 the result of a wave that was sweeping the bar-tending scene of the British capital. A product of the cocktail revolutionary Dick Bradsell, the Bramble was a simple and easy to make yet〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Bramble Cocktail )〕 delectable twist on the old favourite, the Gin Fix. The Bramble came to life in 1984〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Case Study – The Bramble )〕 when Bradsell was working in Fred's Club, a downtown Soho Bar run by an ex-Butler, where the emphasis was on service and style.
